چکیده
Abstract Introduction Inflammation and infection are causative factors of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). Urine is not sterile, urine microbiota identified by DNA sequencing can play an important role in the development BPH influence severity lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS). Materials methods We collected mid-stream voided samples from patients control participants stored them a freezer at ? 80 °C. All enrolled were requested to provide information about their clinical characteristics complete International Prostate Symptom Score (IPSS) questionnaire. Each step procedure, including extraction genomic samples; amplification polymerase chain reaction (PCR); PCR product quantification, mixing, purification; library preparation; was performed with quality (QC) measures. Alpha diversity indicative species complexity within individual samples, beta analysis used evaluate differences among terms complexity. Pearson’s correlation calculate relationship between samples. Results 77 30 who reported no recent antibiotic usage. Old age, high IPSS poor life observed group. No significant alpha In analysis, there difference groups according ANOSIM statistical analysis. On comparing groups, ten bacterial genera present group descending order abundance were: Sphingomonas, Bacteroides, Lactobacillus, Streptococcus, Alcaligenes, Prevotella, Ruminococcaceae UCG-014, Escherichia_Shigella, Akkermansia, Parabacteroides . Spearman’s revealed that showing presence Haemophilus , Staphylococcus, Dolosigranulum, Listeria, Phascolarctobacterium, Enhydrobacter, Bacillus, [Ruminococcus]torques, Faecalibacterium, Finegoldia correlated IPSS, severe storage voiding ( P < 0.05). Conclusion Our current study shows dysbiosis may be related LUTS. Further research targeting specific microbes identify diseases necessary might novel diagnostic biomarkers therapeutic options.

متن کاملA new approach to patients with lower urinary tract symptoms.
In their otherwise excellent editorial on lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS), Blanker et al made two surprising assertions.1 They recommend rectal examination, especially when patients fear prostate cancer, but state that its objective value is limited. I presume theymean by this that rectal examination is poor at discriminating between benign and malignant prostatic disease. I agree. Therefor...
متن کاملLower urinary tract symptoms revisited.
In recent years, there has been an increased awareness of the importance of considering lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) as a global term. Under this umbrella term, disorders of bladder function can be most effectively considered as failure to store or failure to empty. We now clearly recognise the misconceptions inherent in the assumptions that all LUTS in men are caused by benign prostatic...
